Tinkerforge
Tinkerforge offers a hardware platform of stackable microcontroller building blocks (Bricks) that can control different modules (Bricklets). The modules are pluggable and they have an intuitive API that works with a wide variety of programming languages. Tinkerforge's non-embedded programming approach eliminates many of the typical requirements and limitations of conventional application development. Tinkerforge uses only open source tools and makes their source codes, circuit diagrams, and layouts freely available, in the belief that customers should be able to understand and change products they bought.
